Let’s delve into it! Cats are attuned to their surroundings and the people in them, and they tend to gravitate towards owners who exude calmness and gentleness. It all makes perfect sense!

Personally, I’ve noticed that when I raise my voice at my dog, my cat makes it clear he’s not a fan.

Cats are renowned for their knack for picking up on the emotions of those in their proximity. If an owner is stressed or on edge, a cat might feel similarly uneasy or stressed.
They’re not fond of loud voices or rough handling; they much prefer to be lifted gently. A composed and easygoing owner contributes to a more serene environment for the cat.

So, if you’re meeting a cat for the first time, it’s advisable to maintain a calm and gentle demeanor, avoiding abrupt movements or loud talk, as serene individuals often come across as more approachable.

Moreover, cats are naturally drawn to tranquil environments; sudden movements can startle or upset them.

Finally, cats boast highly sensitive noses, making strong perfumes overwhelming and uncomfortable for them. If you encounter a cat for the first time while wearing perfume, don’t be surprised if the cat reacts by running away or hissing.

These insights are particularly beneficial for potential new cat owners gearing up to adopt or foster a cat, meeting their feline companion for the first time.
